CAD/CAM fillings are an enormous advance over traditional silver (mercury amalgam) fillings. CAD/CAM fillings are metal-free, plaque resistant, color matched and bio-compatible.
As well, they are so precisely made we can preserve more of your natural tooth tissue when preparing the tooth for restoration.
 With E4D there is absolutely no need for the traditionally messy impression materials, because you can obtain clean, fast digital impressions in just a few minutes using a laser scanner in your mouth. This laser scanning technology is not only extremely accurate when retaining all of the patient’s dental details, but is also very safe to use. The system allows the dentist to scan the patient’s mouth and obtain a perfect dental impression; this impression is saved and used to design the new teeth with a 4D dental software, when it’s ready, you can “print” it in the milling center and obtain a perfectly made teeth suited just for you!

CAD/CAM is a camera, computer and precision manufacturing machine all in one. We use CEREC's built-in camera to take a photo of the damaged tooth. Using this image, CAD/CAM's Computer Assisted Design (CAD) function takes over and designs a precision restoration.
Then CAD/CAM's CAM (Computer Assisted Manufacture) creates the finished restoration from a block of high quality porcelain that reflects light just like real teeth.
Finally, we bond the restoration into position and we're done! No messy impressions, no waiting for lab work, no second visit! This is dentistry the way it should be: fast, efficient, durable and natural looking.
